Puerto Rico rolls out MICE promotion
Meet Puerto Rico has introduced a new marketing and promotional campaign aimed at driving more MICE business to the island.
The ‘Escape the Meeting Blah!’ campaign will reward meeting planners with free reward trips and prize draws, and will include a charitable donation component in all eligible bookings during the promotional period to May 30.
Almost 30 member hotels and destination management companies are participating in the campaign which is valid for meetings of any size.
For contracts signed before the end of the promotional period, planners will receive $15 per room night for their meeting.
Additionally, they will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five pre-paid gift cards to the value of $5,000 each.
The prize draw will take place on June 30.
Meet Puerto Rico will also pass on a charitable donation to The Ricky Martin Foundation, which supports education, health and social wellbeing of vulnerable children around the world.
This is the second branded campaign from the recently formed Meet Puerto Rico.
In November it hosted a successful ‘Dial & Smile’ trade show promoting member hotels, which garnered 81 confirmed group bookings.
