Punta Gorda/Englewood honors local hospitality leaders
The Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau will celebrate the local hospitality industry at their Annual Tourism Celebration on May 9.
It takes place at Harborside Garden at The Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda Harborside from 4:30pm until 7:30pm.
In partnership with the Charlotte Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, the Fifth Annual Tourism Awards ceremony will also take place during the event.
The Tourism Awards honor individuals who contributed significantly to Charlotte County’s outstanding hospitality industry. Tourism partners can nominate their top employees through April 18.
“Charlotte County hospitality workers consistently put in top tier efforts to ensure our out-of-town visitors and local patrons have great experiences,” said Sean Doherty, Tourism Director of the Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau.
“As we celebrate all that tourism does for Charlotte County, I hope we all remember that our Destination Strength Through United Purpose is what really makes Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach shine”
The afternoon gathering enables industry networking and features delicious cuisine. Tickets can be purchased for $30 through the Visitor & Convention Bureau’s website.
Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach is on the Southwest Gulf Coast, conveniently between Tampa and Naples. The area features miles of waterways and nature trails, 830 miles of shoreline and more, offering boating, hiking and fishing
The Charlotte Harbor Gulf Island Coast includes the areas of Boca Grande, Don Pedro Island, El Jobean, Englewood-Cape Haze, Little Gasparilla Island, Manasota Key, Knight Island, Placida, Babcock Ranch, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda.
