Pure Michigan’s New Appoinment
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has named Dave Lorenz as Vice President of Travel Michigan.
A seasoned tourism professional, Lorenz has served for more than a decade as the Industry Relations and International Marketing Manager for Travel Michigan and has been responsible for international marketing, packaged travel, conventions and meetings, industry relations and sports-event promotions.
Steve Arwood, Chief Executive Officer of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, said: "Last year was a record-breaking year for tourism in Michigan, generating $22.8 billion in economic impact for the state. I am confident Dave will keep that momentum going strong, while continuing to be a champion for the industry. His experience also ensures that tourism promotion efforts can move forward seamlessly and that our focus, and the focus of the industry, can remain on increasing the number of visitors to Michigan.
"We are anticipating another robust year for tourism in Michigan, and look forward to this trend continuing under Dave’s leadership."
Michigan is represented in the UK by Cellet Marketing and PR and were major sponsors of the recent Silverstone Classic event, reaching 100,000 consumers at the three day event.
