Qantas engineers defer industrial action…………again!
An AAP report this morning says that Qantas engineers have postponed plans for industrial action for the second time this week, with the union, the Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers’ Association saying that they have deferred any proposed action until February 1.
An ALAEA spokesman added, that they are continuing discussions with Qantas in the meantime.
ALEA has failed to negotiate a satisfactory pay increase with Qantas, with the union claiming five percent pay increase, and Qantas only offering three, but it is not known why ALEA has not simply commenced industrial action and whey they are deferring.
