Rail Europe rebrands
Rail Europe has rebranded to become Voyages-sncf.com, with a new website and brand identity.
The rail booking service has been SNCF’s representative in the UK for over 100 years, but this latest move sees the company fully integrated into the Voyages-sncf.com group.
In the last six months the group has expanded its European presence and now operates in more than 30 countries, through 13 websites in 12 languages, plus five shops and a call centre.
UK customers will continue to have access to a dedicated UK website, a UK based call centre and London travel centre.
A new dedicated UK version of the Voyages-sncf.com website features simplified navigation, improved ‘self-care’ sections and online chat to help customers during the booking process.
In addition, many of the features currently available on the French version of the website will be adapted for the UK market and introduced over the coming months, including a pricing calendar and journey planner tools.
A mobile version of the site and a mobile app are also planned for the coming months.
Yves Tyrode, director general of Voyages-sncf.com group, said: "Voyages-sncf.com holds a strong position in Europe and we’re very excited to be entering the UK market.
"On the Continent, rail travel is widely accepted as the simplest way to travel for leisure and we’re keen to help British travellers to experience travel on Europe’s extensive rail network."
