Ramadan Celebrations in Dubai
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is encouraging more visitors to travel to Dubai during the Holy month of Ramadan, which is celebrated this year between approximately 27 September and 27 October.
Ramadan, when emiratis fast during the hours of daylight, is an ideal time to experience the special religious and cultural atmosphere of an Islamic country. Visitors may also be invited to share an Iftar meal – the dusk celebration which marks the end of each day’s fast – or to visit one of the many Ramadan tents around Dubai.
The DTCM recently published a special booklet, A Taste of Ramadan’ to explain the special atmosphere and opportunities in Dubai during this month.
