Red Lion and WestCoast offer new rate guarantee

Monday, 24 Feb, 2004 0

Red Lion and WestCoast Hotels starting 1 March will guarantee their websites offer the best online rate, or guests will receive what the chain says is “the richest compensation in the industry.” “We’re proclaiming, ‘We promise, or we pay,’” said Barry Hughes, vice president, marketing and distribution for WestCoast Hospitality. He said if users find a lower price, their stay is free. In addition, the company offers a $100 voucher towards a future room at a Red Lion or West Coast Hotel. He said the companies ability to offer the best rates is assured by a multi-million dollar upgrade in rooms inventory distribution technology the company installed last year. “Thanks to your new distribution dashboard technology, and agreements we have negotiated with the third party sites, we can offer value-oriented rates consistently and accurately anywhere and everywhere,“ said Mr Hughes. The websides are www.redlion.com, and www.westcoasthotels.com. Report by David Wilkening
