Restructure brings promotion for Royal Caribbean UK boss

Wednesday, 29 Jan, 2020 0

Royal Caribbean has promoted UK boss Ben Bouldin to a senior EMEA position in a restructure that also sees 55 redundancies from its Weybridge HQ.

Bouldin, currently associate vice president and managing director UK and Ireland, becomes senior vice president of sales for EMEA as part of a restructure of the cruise line’s markets outside of Miami.

Enhancements in technology means departments including revenue management and some PR and marketing will be operated out of Miami, resulting in UK redundancies.

The sales team will not be affected and Bouldin has promised a ‘more focused trade sales approach’.

Other departments in Europe will see their functions moved to Weybridge.

Bouldin will report to Sean Treacy, who has been promoted from his role of vice president of Latin America and international strategy to become senior vice president of international, with responsibility for Asia Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and EMEA.

Stuart Byron has been promoted to senior director for managed business in EMEA, Gianni Rotondo takes control of non-managed markets and Stuart Leven moves to oversee business transformation projects.

Martin McKinnon will remain as director of sales and former Thomas Cook head of commercial partnerships, while Torey Kings-Hodkin joins the company as head of key accounts.

Royal Caribbean is to recruit a new key account manager, taking its team from five to six.
