‘Revolution’ in agents’ dynamic packaging claimed
Agents are being offered a tool providing own-brand websites with access to bonded dynamic packaging by Flexibletrips.
The I-Frame technology will allow agents access to the benefits of fully bonded dynamic packaging and Flexibletrips’ accommodation, flights and packages from its own consumer website, according to the company.
The I-Frame – described as a simple piece of code – is embedded into the agents’ own site and provides a search box that mirrors that of Flexibletrips’ search page. This allows the customer to check availability and prices for packages, flights, hotels and Eurostar bookings.
The I-Frame will also provide details for valid destinations from each departure airport and valid resorts for each destination to be viewed. Changes and additions of new routes to the parent system are also automatically reflected on the agents’ site.
Once a search request has been submitted the results are returned displaying the agents’ own logo and a dedicated greeting message alongside the details of availability for the request.
Flexibletrips head of sales Stephen Vaughan, heralding the development as “revolutionary”, said: “This exciting and revolutionary new development will significantly boost agents who want to maintain their competitive edge in a fast moving market place.
“Once again we are demonstrating our commitment to work with high street agents to provide them with the tools they need and want to help improve their own business opportunities.
“This allows all agents the chance to benefit from the growth of dynamic packaging in an easy and simple way without incurring the significant overhead of development costs in designing their own system or having to worry whether their customers are completely protected. We take all the responsibility so they don’t have to.”
