Marriott will bring Ritz-Carlton brand to Fiji by 2030
Marriott International will launch The Ritz-Carlton brand to Fiji. The Ritz-Carlton Fiji, Namuka Bay, will be a 249-room luxury property, It is developed in partnership with Luxurious Resort (Fiji) Pte Limited, is slated to open in 2030 on a 28-hectare oceanfront site along the country’s Coral Coast.
“This agreement marks an exciting milestone as we bring The Ritz-Carlton to one of the South Pacific’s most sought-after destinations,” said Richard Crawford, Marriott’s Vice President Hotel Development for the Pacific rim. “With Fiji’s tourism and infrastructure on the rise, the timing is ideal for us to expand our luxury presence.”
The resort will include 166 guest rooms and suites, plus 83 private villas—many with sweeping sea views. Standout features will include a Presidential Villa with a 186-sq. meter private pool, expansive balcony, and dedicated yoga lounge.
Plans also call for seven dining venues, two large pools, a yoga studio, fitness center, tennis courts, and a Ritz Kids program. The Ritz-Carlton Spa will offer eight treatment rooms, a sauna, plunge pools, and a salon. For groups and events, the property will provide more than 1,400 sq. m. of meeting space. It will comprise among others a 635 sqm. ballroom and a chapel seating 40.
Tristan Cooper, Marriott’s Director of Development, said the project responds to a surge in demand for high-end travel. “Our Fiji resorts are seeing record occupancy. With nearly 245 million Marriott Bonvoy members globally, we’re confident this property will resonate with international travelers seeking luxury experiences.”
Marriott operates already five properties in Fiji. It includes the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, along with Sheraton and Westin branded resorts.
