Rosewood signs new build hotel for Shanghai
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is adding a luxury Shanghai hotel to its China portfolio.
The new build Rosewood Shanghai is still several years away from opening with an expected launch date of 2028.
It will occupy the top floors of a new landmark mixed-use development designed by Foster + Partners in Shanghai’s Jing’An district.
It will house 200 guestrooms and suites, five F&B outlets and Rosewood’s Asaya wellness concept.
"As we continue to grow the brand throughout Asia and specifically mainland China, Shanghai has long been a priority destination in which to plant the Rosewood flag," said Sonia Cheng, Rosewood Hotel Group CEO.
Shanghai based Lonsen Land Group will manage Rosewood Shanghai.
The company is adding properties in Chengdu and Ningbo which are both slated to open in 2023.
