Royal Caribbean drops Haiti calls through December

Wednesday, 14 Jan, 2026 0

Royal Caribbean has further extended the suspension of cruise calls at its Haiti private destination in Labadee.

It won’t return until the end of the year, the cruise line said.

Due to the ongoing risk of civil unrest throughout Haiti, Royal Caribbean has no plans to return to Labadee until at least December 2026.

Haiti is currently under a U.S. Level 4 travel advisory.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have extended our pause to Labadee through December 2026,” it said.

It had previously suspended Labadee calls and first extended it until April 2026.

Ships last visited Labadee in early 2025, after resuming visits following a suspension from 2024, when civil unrest escalated.

The U.S. State Department maintains a ‘do not travel’ advisory for the country.
