Royal Caribbean floats out latest mega ship
Royal Caribbean International has floated out the hull of its second Freedom-class mega ships, Liberty of the Seas.
The vessel, which is under construction in Finland, will become sister ship to the world’s largest cruise vessel Freedom of the Seas when its enters service next May.
The finishing work to 3,634-passenger Liberty of the Seas will now take place following the float out of the hull from dry dock.
Both ships will run alternate seven-night western and eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami, with Liberty departing on Saturdays and Freedom on Sundays. A third ship in the series is due to join the fleet in 2008.
