Royal Caribbean leaving New Orleans for Tampa

Saturday, 27 Sep, 2005 0

With the indefinite closing of New Orleans, Royal Caribbean International’s grandeur of the Seas will begin offering four-and-five-night cruises from Tampa.

The new port will begin service in December.

Grandeur will sail out of Tampa in cruises taking it to Costa Maya and Cozumel, among other ports of call. San Juan will be another stop in its Western Caribbean schedule.

“We look forward to returning to the Port of New Orleans as soon as circumstances permit us to do so,” said Adam Goldstein, president of Royal Caribbean International.
