Ryanair announces new route

Ryanair will launch a daily service from Newcastle to Oslo from September 27.

The flight will depart Newcastle at 6.20pm, arriving in the Norwegian capital at 9pm local time and return at 5.15pm, arriving in the UK at 5.55pm.

The no frills carrier said it will carry 100,000 passengers on the route per year.

Newcastle airport aviation development manager Chris Sanders said the move will benefit both destinations in terms of leisure and business traffic.

Fares start from £3.99 one way excluding taxes and charges.
