Ryanair rated badly for customer service in big brands survey
Ryanair has come very close to the bottom of a league table based on customer service, despite recent efforts to be more customer friendly.
The airline came 95th in a poll of 100 big brands rated in a Which? customer poll, alongside Vodafone.
The biggest brands, chosen based on market share within their sectors, were rated on making their customers feel valued, knowledge of products and services, helpfulness of staff, resolving complaints or problems and access to customer support.
The best performing travel brand in the poll was British Airways, which was rated joint 27th alongside the likes of Natwest, Lloyds, Halifax, and Kwik Fit.
Meanwhile Thomas Cook and Thomson came in at 35th, alongside HSBC, Boots, and Wickes.
First Choice was lower down the list at 51st, sharing the position with Asda, Morrisons and Mothercare.
Flybe and easyjet were further down still, at 89th, along with Currys PC World and B&M Home Store.
Top of the list across all of the sectors were Lush, First Direct, Lakeland, Body Shop, John Lewis and Waitrose. Lush also topped the poll in 2013.
Scottish Power was rated worse of the big brands, at number 100.
The league table was based on the responses of 3,501 members of the public in May 2015.
