Ryanair revises profit forecast after strong November
Ryanair has raised its full-year traffic and profit forecast following a 22% jump in November passenger numbers to over 6.35 million.
The airline now expects profits to be between €810 million and €830 million, with expected passenger numbers revised from 89 million to just over 90 million.
Despite increasing November seat capacity by 13%, load factors for the month increased by 7% to 88%.
Meanwhile, rolling annual traffic to November has grown 5% to 85.4 million customers.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said the growth was down to ‘lower fares, our stronger forward booking strategy and the continuing success of our ‘Always Getting Better’ customer programme’.
Meanwhile, easyJet reported a 3.1% increase in passengers to 4.39 million for November.
Load factors increased 0.5 percentage points to 89.5% while rolling annual traffic grew 6.6% to 65.2 million.
