Ryanair to sell flights on other airlines

Ryanair is to sell connecting flights on its website for the first time later this month.

Initially, they will only be available at Rome Fiumicino airport, but the airline plans to make connections at other airports available soon.

Ryanair said it plans to offer connections to other airlines and so far it is discussing the possibility with Aer Lingus, Norwegian Airlines ‘and other potential partners’ with a view to launching connections with third party airlines in late summer.

"We also plan to sell flights operated by other airlines on Ryanair.com," it said today.

Other changes announced today include phase 2 of its My Ryanair programme, which includes cash-back deals for customers who book hotels or car hire, travel credits for use against future flights and extras and offers suited to the customer’s profile from September.

From May, its Plus programme will include a family fare bundle option and more flexibility to change by sector and in-trip. Business Plus becomes Flexi-Plus and will include a 50% credit for cancellations.

Ryanair will also start selling package holidays to more markets, having already started offering them in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Spain.
