Sabre Airline Solutions president and EVP Hugh Jones will step down in the summer.

Jones will leave in August after nearly six years at the helm.

Before assuming the role as president he held executive posts at Travel Network and Travelocity and previously served in finance positions at American Airlines.

"Hugh has made numerous contributions to Sabre during his 29-year career in the travel business and we owe a great deal of our success at Airline Solutions to his leadership," said Sabre president Sean Menke.

"I appreciate his working with us on a smooth transition as we conduct a search for his replacement."

Since Jones assumed the role of president Sabre Airline Solutions has nearly doubled in size.
