Sabre bolsters Asia leadership team with two new appointments
Sabre Corp has added a new face and one promotion to beef up its leadership team in Asia Pacific.
Axel Bench joins Sabre as Regional Director – Asia, and will be responsible for South Asia, North Asia and Southeast Asia.
He brings more than 25 years in senior account management and was previously global sales director for Harris Aviation Solutions Group.
He also held Asia focused positions at Thales, ERA and Lufthansa Systems.
Bench returns to the company after a two year stint at Sabre Airlines Solutions as account director for the Pacific region.
Additionally, Sabre has restructured APAC operations into three regions, the other two being the Pacific region and Japan led by Scott Barratt, and mainland China led by Peter Wu.
Sabre also announced the appointment of Clayton Grant as senior account director for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.
He has been with Sabre for more than four years, and previously spent 12 years at Virgin Australia, mostly in commercial and revenue management positions.
