Sabre expands travel security option to corporates
Sabre is now offering its travel security solution to corporates as well as travel agencies.
The travel technology company launched the Traveler Security and Data Suite, which allows travel bookers to get direct access to itinerary information that means they can pinpoint travellers, to agents earlier in the year.
The product has enjoyed success as companies tighten their hold on employee business travel following the introduction of new corporate manslaughter laws.
It means corporations can now quickly work out where employees are during times of natural disasters and political upheaval abroad.
The availability to corporates of the web-based software means that they can also gather more detailed management information that alerts them when travel policy is being contravened.
Chief operating officer from Chambers Travel Management Andrew Perolls said: “As a beta customer, we’ve been able to use the Traveler Security and Data Suite since the start of the year.
“The latest enhancements will enable us to allow access to our corporate clients through their own URL by granting a user ID and password. We’ll continue to use the tool to proactively manage risk in the event of any world events that may affect our clients’ travel plans and we are also taking advantage of the excellent reporting capabilities it provides on both post and pre-booked travel.â€
Senior vice president Sabre Travel Network in EMEA Martin Cowley said: “We recognise that traveller security is one of the biggest concerns that agencies and corporations face today.
“A close second is making it easy to leverage available data in a way that helps the business. Our Traveler Security and Data Suite addresses both in a single solution – providing an easy way to locate employees around the globe during times of crisis or disruption, and assess those at risk.
“Our goal is to provide a solution that addresses this challenge and make it as immediate, intuitive and insightful as possible so corporations can quickly determine their course of action. The same solution that provides this capability also can provide some tremendous insights for the corporation and their travel management as well.â€
