Sabre’s Red-hot solution
In a follow up to the launch of the Sabre Red Workspace in August 2010, more than 22,000 agents have been upgraded worldwide.
Sabre Pacific said it is committed to upgrade all its agents by the end of the year.
CEO of Sabre Pacific, Gai Tyrrell, said at a function in Sydney this week, “With just a few clicks to upgrade, agents are queuing up to get their hands on Sabre Red.”
Tyrell said the new Workspace provides agencies faster start up times, high performance even in low bandwidth areas, solid stability and quick and easy access to content, resulting in increased productivity and efficiency.
The new solutions, available as part of the Sabre Red suite, are Agency Fares and Express Insurance.
Sabre Pacific said its launch of the Agency Fares product onto the Sabre Red platform is one of the most significant enhancements to agents businesses.
The solution, launched to 50 Sabre customers, makes all published, corporate, Netcheck low cost carrier and net fares content available for agents to shop, price, book and ticket in the one Sabre Red Workspace screen.
GM, Marketing & Product at Sabre Pacific, Richard Morgan, said, “With Agency Fares, agents will have the broadest fares content ever available at their fingertips.
“That means they can do quick price comparisons of all fare types at once. Consultants will know that this is a huge improvement in the way they access fare information with an average time saving is over 10 minutes per transaction.”
Provided by QBE Insurance and customised for the Orient Express Travel Group as the first customer to go live, Express Insurance enables agencies to book travel insurance through Sabre in the same way land and air bookings are made.
