Sandals Resorts names new CEO
Founder Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart has hired Gebhard F. Rainer as new CEO of Sandals Resorts International.
Rainer brings years of experience in operations and international finance and served as executive vice president and CFO of Hyatt Hotels Corp.
He was most recently president and chief operating officer of fashion company Coach, Inc.
The appointment of Rainer to the executive team will consolidate Adam Stewart’s role as deputy chairman, Stewart Snr said.
"Rainer’s experience complements our strengths, affording me the time to expand my role alongside the chairman as the Sandals brand moves to fast-track our development plans," said Adam Stewart.
