SAS extends self-print boarding passes to the UK
Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is introducing self-print boarding passes
to the UK.
Self-print boarding passes will be accepted on all SAS services from London Heathrow, London City, Aberdeen, Birmingham and Manchester airports.
Each pass has a barcode that is unique to the passenger and allows them to proceed straight to airport security, where the barcode is checked with a scanner.
Passengers wishing to check in luggage can use the SAS Self Service Kiosks and deposit their luggage at the fast bag drop facility.
Passengers can check in up to 22 hours before a flight and select or change their seat or class of travel.
Lars-Ove Filipson, general manager UK & Ireland, said: “This new service will help to streamline the airport experience for both our leisure and business customers and is a welcome addition to SAS’ UK service offering.
In particular short stay business travellers travelling with only hand luggage will be able to dramatically streamline their airport experience, making business travel more convenient and expedient.”
