Friday, 24 Oct, 2007 0

The Baltic is one of the hottest cruise destinations in the world and this 25-night itinerary combining 10 nights on board Crown Princess and a 14-night luxury coach tour takes in some sensational Northern Baltic cities – and as much as $1,000 can be saved on it now.

The departure date is May 27, 2008, and it’s for sale until November 5, 2007. The trip begins in Amsterdam with the coach tour visiting  Brussels, the Rhineland, Prague, Berlin and Copenhagen before meeting the cruise, which will continue on to Oslo, Stockholm and Gdynia.

It also takes in St Petersburg and Tallinn – cities that have sprung to life since the fall of the iron curtain, revealing their rich pre-Soviet history. The old Russian capitol, St Petersburg is sure to impress with its vast palaces, glorious art collections and the strength of its culture.

Meanwhile, the 116,000-ton Crown Princess is a destination in herself. One of Princess Cruises’ Grand Class vessels, she entered service in May 2006 and carries 3,700 passengers and offers 881 balconies with cabins.

Passengers will find three main dining rooms as well as three alternative dining venues and a couple of casual eateries and cafes.

There are also assorted bars and lounges and a huge show lounge, a spa and four swimming pools.

Prices start from $8,899 and discounts apply to various cabin upgrades.

Agents can book by phone on 1300 55 88 64.

Reservation lines are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm and on Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
