SeaWorld San Diego’s ‘Tidal Twister’ ride makes waves
SeaWorld San Diego’s eagerly awaited new coaster Tidal Twister is now open.
A world’s first of its kind, Tidal Twister is a horizontal, figure-of-eight, dueling coaster which accelerates to 30 miles per hour.
"There is no other coaster experience in the world like Tidal Twister. The two trains duel one another and guests will see the excitement on the faces of the other riders. You’ll almost feel like you can reach out and touch them," said Marilyn Hannes, SeaWorld San Diego’s park president.
The two 16-seat cars each begin at opposite ends of the track and cross at the center with a Zero G roll with guests facing both forward and backward on the cars.
Built by Skyline Attractions, it joins Electric Eel and Manta as SeaWorld’s latest high profile coaster experiences.
