Sell-out for Hong Kong Sevens
The Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens has sold out for this year.
The last remaining 4,000 tickets reserved for public sale were distributed last week via the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union’s first-ever public ticket ballot.
Hong Kong Rugby Football Union chairman, Trevor Gregory, said: "Unfortunately, public demand for Sevens tickets far exceeds the capacity of the Hong Kong Stadium but the HKRFU is hopeful that the switch to a public ballot has at least offered all applicants an equal opportunity to purchase tickets."
Reinforcing its customary role as the largest and most international of HSBC Sevens World Series events, Hong Kong will host a 28-team tournament in 2013 for the first time in the event’s 38-year history.
The Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens will be played from March 22-24,
