Severe turbulence injures dozens on China Eastern Airlines flight
Several people have been injured aboard a China Eastern Airlines flight after running into severe turbulence.
It happened just before Flight MU744 was about to land at Kunming Changshui International Airport, according to reports, with at least 26 people injured.
The flight, which departed from Paris, eventually landed safely about one hour behind schedule early on Sunday.
All the injured were taken to hospital with at least four thought to be serious.
Injuries included bone fractures and head lacerations.
Minor injuries were caused by falling baggage from the overhead bins, Xinhua reported.
