Shangri-La offers free Covid insurance for Singapore guests
International guests booking stays at Shangri-La’s four hotels in Singapore will get free Covid insurance cover.
It is offering emergency medical coverage of up to S$250,000 at no additional charge for guests who contract the virus.
Guests will be automatically covered when booking a public rate for stays between 1 January and 30 June 2021.
The policy is underwritten by AIG, and also covers additional accommodation and travel expenses if they need to extend their stay due to medical reasons.
"We have chosen to start with the Singapore market as the Singapore government has been proactively relaxing travel restrictions. Arranging medical coverage at no additional charge is yet another demonstration of the warm welcome we are extending to guests, said Chan Kong Leong, Shangri-La Group Regional CEO for Southeast Asia and Australasia.
It is available for guests at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore; Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa; JEN Singapore Orchardgateway and JEN Singapore Tanglin.
