Significant growth in tour groups
The National Tour Association (NTA) is seeing significant growth with more new members during the first month of 2006 than it has seen since before 9-11.
The Lexington, Ky.-based association also accepted three new countries to its membership, bringing its total number of represented nations to 31.
“NTA began diversifying its membership several years ago to bring the variety of travel products consumers are demanding into the association,” said NTA Chairman and CEO Judith Thomas.
NTA’s broad membership includes tour operator companies specializing in unique products such as culinary tours, motor sports tours, adventure travel and family/multigenerational vacations. Other newer tours include Bible-based trips and youth soccer teams.
The NTA has 600 members.
