Singapore Airlines launches Covid test booking platform
Passengers of Singapore Airlines and sister airline brand SilkAir flying out of Singapore and Indonesia are now able to book pre-departure Covid-19 tests online.
It is available for flights out of Singapore Changi Airport, Jakarta and Medan.
It is part of a pilot programme launched this week and will likely be expanded to more departure points in the SIA and SilkAir network in the coming months.
Customers can pick from a list of authorised testing facilities and book appointments for PCR and serology tests.
Test results will be delivered within 36 hours electronically.
On the day of travel it will be authenticated via the supplied QR code at check-in and immigration desks.
"Piloting this one-stop pre-departure test is part of our ongoing efforts to provide passengers with a vital service during this time," said JoAnn Tan, SIA’s Senior Vice President for Marketing Planning.
For other departure cities, the verification process can be done manually.
