Singapore’s Park Hotel Orchard to be given makeover
SINGAPORE – Park Hotel Orchard, on Singapore’s best-known shopping thoroughfare, will be rebranded as Grand Park Orchard after a major renovation.
Park Hotel Orchard will close from April 1 to facilitate the renovations.
When it reopens as Grand Park Orchard in the second quarter of 2010, the five-star property will become the flagship hotel of the Park Hotel Group hospitality chain.
Grand Park Orchard will launch with 309 rooms and suites and a four-storey retail podium.
“The new Grand Park Orchard will be an iconic landmark on Orchard Road,†said Allen Law, director of Park Hotel Group.
“We will transform the existing hotel into a fashionable icon by dressing it up with a dramatic new façade and at the same time featuring a media wall of unparalleled scale in the region.â€
