SITA brings magazine content to Singapore Air app

Thursday, 10 Apr, 2017 0

Singapore Airlines mobile app users can now get free access to digital magazines thanks to a partnership with the airline and SITA DigitalMedia.

SITA is in turn using tech developed by its partner Adaptive to provide the content, and help cut down further on unnecessary paper and printing costs.

According to aviation IT solutions firm SITA, the airline industry flies with 100,000 kg of newspapers and magazines every day with no guarantee that they will be read.

"Singapore Airlines is renowned for its great service and constant desire to enhance the travel experience of its customers. SITA is delighted to be able to offer a service that helps further those ambitions and SITA DigitalMedia is just one of the ways we are assisting Singapore Airlines in delivering this experience," said Sumesh Patel, SITA President, Asia Pacific.

Free digital magazines are now available on the latest version of the SIA app which can be updated for iOS and Android.
