Six Senses Maldives resort announces opening date
Newly transformed Maldives resort Six Senses Kanuhura is set to open from September 1.
Bookings are now live.
It is located on one of the largest natural beaches in the Maldives, and comprises two private islands.
One is for intimate desert island dining and the other for a castaway escape.
The 91 beachfront and overwater villas include 12 new Beach Retreats.
These offer one to three bedrooms and private pools just steps from the ocean.
Bryce Seator, GM, says: “Watching the island transform in the past few months has been an exciting journey, and we all look forward to revealing the new Six Senses Kanuhura.”
He says the overall experience has been reimagined to enhance the sustainability and wellness ethos
Activities on land and the water include cooking classes, watersports lessons and private beach dining.
Younger guests can gather at the Grow With Six Senses kids club for treasure hunts, kids’ yoga, crafts, and upcycling.
Six Senses Kanuhura is located on the Lhaviyani Atoll, 150 kilometres north of Male.
It is a short 40-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport (MLE).
Six Senses operates 22 hotels and resorts in 18 countries and has a further 41 properties in the development pipeline.
