Skyscanner hires ex-Dr Who for TV adverts

Friday, 30 Jan, 2014 0

Travel search website Skyscanner launches its first national TV ads this week as part of a £3 million integrated marketing campaign, its biggest to date.

The adverts, which will run until March 23 on all UK national stations, digital commercial stations and ITV regional, will also appear on all major social channels.

Ex-Doctor Who actor Matt Smith is the ad’s voiceover and MOBO-nominated jazz singer Zara McFarlane performs "If I could see the world through your eyes" as the soundtrack.

Skyscanner has until now focused its marketing efforts towards online advertising and this is its first foray into major above-the-line advertising.

"The business is growing at a phenomenal rate and this campaign will allow us to reach a much wider audience," said UK marketing manager Douglas Cook.

The campaign, Born Honest, includes outdoor and digital advertising.
