SkyWest inks big Embraer plane order
US regional carrier SkyWest has placed a firm order for 60 Embraer aircraft with options to take that beyond 100 planes in total.
It has purchase rights for 50 more aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to start in 2027.
SkyWest has been Embraer customer for nearly 40 years.
The SkyWest fleet spans 263 aircraft in total.
“As the largest E175 owner and operator, we’re pleased to continue growing our E175 fleet and enhance our dual-class footprint,” said Chip Childs, CEO of SkyWest.
“This order enables us to advance our long-term fleet strategy.”
“We are thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with SkyWest Airlines with this mega order,” added Arjan Meijer, President & CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
“The E175 is the cornerstone of regional aviation in North America.”
