South Pacific showing positive signs
SYDNEY – Air Pacific has added 18 extra return flights between Nadi and Sydney during June, July, September and October.
Regional general manager Australia Victor Sharan said that forward bookings and anticipated demand had prompted the added schedules which will be operated by a Boeing 737.
The extra flights commence on June 26 and finish on October 17. They will operate on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. The flights will depart Nadi at 6.30 in the evening and Sydney at 6.50 in the morning.
In other developments, Adventure World has taken major steps toward increasing its influence in the South Pacific by expanding its 2010 brochure to 96 pages, compared with 20 last year.
Marketing manager Neil Rodgers said that the identification of a recent consumer tendency for short-haul leisure travel and enquiries from agents had prompted the expansion of the programme.
Additions to the brochure include a dedicated wedding section, new sightseeing tours in major destinations, self-drive packages in New Caledonia, a new choice of island cruises and a first time itinerary to Niue.
The Adventure World programme will continue to promote luxury hotel options in Fiji and Tahiti, but it is also making available Young at Heart and Budget accommodation options.
Meanwhile, Blue Lagoon Cruises is offering its accredited agents a fresh opportunity to earn a free cruise for themselves and their partners in quick time.
The boutique Fiji cruise specialist will give ‘double points’ for every ‘Club‘ or ‘Gold Club’ booking made for travel in February, March and April 2010.
Accredited agents normally earn one point for every Blue Lagoon Cruises product booking made – with 10 points earning them the free cruise.
The ‘double point’ bonus also applies to accredited wholesale consultants who stand to win a cruise after securing 20 bookings.
Agents not already accredited with the Blue Lagoon Cruises programme can do so by logging on to www.bluelagooncruises.com/AgentsArea.
