Southwest integrates Air Tran online booking, frequent flyer program
Southwest Airlines has completed the next step in the integration of wholly owned subsidiary AirTran Airways with the merging of all booking and loyalty program functions to Southwest.com.
With immediate effect all visitors to airtran.com will be redirected to the Southwest website.
All bookings for AirTran’s remaining flights through December 28, 2014, will now be processed through Southwest.
Additionally, all functions for AirTran’s A+ rewards members have been absorbed in the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards frequent flyer program.
"Even as we approach the end of our integration process, we’re growing and expanding our offerings to customers," said Bob Jordan, Southwest Airlines executive vice president, chief commercial officer, and president of AirTran Airways.
