Spear Travels on lookout for new agents
Spear Travels is looking to recruit experienced agents to its homeworking division as it re-brands as ‘inSPEARational.expert’.
The North Yorkshire-based agent, with nine branches across North Yorkshire, The Midlands and Essex, currently has 17 home-based agents.
It has now gone live with its dedicated homeworking website, www.inspearational.expert, in addition to a Twitter account and Facebook page.
Spear Travels managing director Peter Cookson said: "We have operated home workers for 21 years – since 1993 – so we know what’s involved when it comes to selling travel from home.
" We currently have 17 home based agents here at Spear Travels and we are keen to expand in this area.
"We are members of both Advantage and AITO Agents and we work with an extremely wide range of suppliers who offer excellent commercial terms – something that competing home working companies cannot always match due to their increasingly restrictive supplier policies.
"We also have an ATOL licence therefore we are able to dynamically package. One major difference that our home based agents have over the rest is that they are responsible for all their client administration rather than a head office department who have no relationship with the client whatsoever. We know, through recent research, that admin handling is a big issue amongst home workers".
"We are seeking experienced travel agents who want to work for a small, caring business that puts its people first. We can offer everything that everyone else offers – but better, and that includes their commission!"
The agency said informal and confidential telephone interviews are available now via 0333 3232 331.
