Special needs fast-track screening launched at Incheon Airport

Coinciding with the opening of the Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games, Incheon airport has launched a pilot scheme offering fast-track check-in and security screening for special needs passengers.

The service announced by the ministry of land, infrastructure and transport will give priority service to the disabled, elderly travellers, pregnant women and children under seven years old during peak hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 am at the airport.

The program is expected to be extended next month for business travellers at specially-designated companies, who hold a Commercial Important Person card and for foreign investors.

Once the expanded service is in operation, pre-flight security screening times will be reduced by up to 40%, the ministry says.

Qualifying fliers can apply for a Fast Track Pass card through their airline to start using the service.
