Spotlight on the Southwest Conference Set for April 19-21
The 11th annual Spotlight on the Southwest will be held April 19-21 at Casa Blanca Resort in Mesquite, Nev. It will be preceded by a Spotlight on Navajo pre-fam event April 16-19.
Spotlight on the Southwest is a tourism conference that combines educational seminars, networking functions and a trade show. Operators are primarily domestic (including Canada) and vary in size. The ratio of suppliers to operators is never more than 2.5 to 1.
For the first time, the pre-fam will be open to suppliers as well as operators and will include a program at the Navajo High School in Kayenta involving students interested in the tourism profession. Tours will include Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly and the opportunity to spend the night on a Lake Powell houseboat and in a traditional Navajo hogan in Monument Valley.
A special post-fam April 21-23 will include a sunset dinner cruise on Lake Mead and a trip to Zion National Park.
Early bird registration has been extended to March 1. ( 480-926-5547 , www.spotlightsw.com, [email protected] e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )
