St Lucia Tourism revealed its new branding strategy at a gathering of more than 500 dignitaries on the island for the Caribbean Marketplace.
The new brand is part of an ambitious strategy to significantly strentghten St Lucia’s position, as the country evolves its tourism and economic appeal to both vistors and investors.
St Lucia worked with Future Brand, the well known destination branding company, to come up with a logo that attempts to incorporate the many postive aspects of the country.
The new brand identity evolves out of the world famous Piton mountains, the colours of the national flag and the warmth and pride of the citizens.
Tourism minister and civil aviation senator Allen Chastanet said: "This modern and elegant design highlights the uniqueness and premium focus of St Lucia.
"The brand mark encompasses the stunning natural beauty of our island as well as the diversity of our people and our culture. It will act as the focal point of our strategy to take St Lucia to the next level."
