Star Cruises committed to cruise tourism in Sabah
Asia Pacific cruise line Star Cruises has announced the arrival of SuperStar Aquarius to the East Malaysian city of Kota Kinabalu as its homeport for its second season.
On arrival, celebrations were led by cultural dance performances and free local souvenirs donated by the Sabah Tourism Board for arriving passengers.
Star Cruises will introduce new three-night cruises to Puerto Princesa in Palawan, Philippines, along with two-night and regular one-night cruise onboard the Aquarius until March 2015.
Sabah’s assistant minister of tourism said: "We are delighted to have Star Cruises return and homeport at Kota Kinabalu for the second season with Super Aquarius. I would like to thank Star Cruises for their continuous support in promoting Sabah as a cruise destination for the region and the world".
Ang Moo Lim of Star Cruises’ parent Genting Hong Kong Limited said the company is fully committed to developing cruise tourism in Sabah.
"Star Cruises remains passionate in offering the best cruise experience with exciting new holiday itineraries and destinations. The three-night destination to Puerto Princesa will be a popular choice among many travelers."
