Star Cruises eyes Europe
Asia Pacific-based cruise line Star Cruises is beefing up its European marketing following sales growth in the region.
Former sales and marketing director Europe Michael Dupont will now become assistant vice president sales. This changing role, says the cruise line, reflects the growth of the European cruise market for cruises year-round in the Far East.
Said Dupont: “The untapped potential in the European market is a large growth area for Star Cruises.
“The increasing number of long-haul friendly cruises of at least five-nights means that we have more options to sell in these markets.
“To support this we have enhanced the booking process and agents can now take advantage of live availability online and sell cruise-only itineraries as part of a tailormade Far East tour.â€
Star Cruises offers cruises from Hong Kong and Singapore.
