Starwood signs new Westin hotel in Manila
Starwood Hotels & Resorts is adding to its Philippines’ portfolio with the signing of a new Westin hotel in Manila.
The new build property called The Westin Manila Sonata Place is expected to open in 2019 and will be a mixed-use development featuring 300 guestrooms.
A fitness studio and a full-service spa and a swimming pool are planned along with more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space incorporating six meeting rooms and two ballrooms.
It will also include The Residences at The Westin Manila Sonata Place comprising 350 private apartments from one to three bedrooms.
It joins the Westin Manila Bayshore and Sheraton Manila Hotel in the Starwood pipeline which are both due to open by 2018.
Charlie Dang, regional vice president for Starwood said the new property would be the first mixed-use development for the Westin brand in Southeast Asia.
