Staybridge Suites: wireless everywhere
Staybridge Suites says it has become the first in the upscale extended-stay category to offer free wireless anywhere on property.
That includes in the hotel’s great room/lobby, outside by the pool and in all guest suites.
“Many of our guests enjoy wireless Internet access at home, so why should they be limited at their home-away-from-home? “ said Robert Radomski, vice president, Brand Management for Staybridge, a part of InterContinental Hotels Group.
Staybridge Suites recently opened its 100th hotel and expects to double its size in the next few years, offering this amenity at nearly 200 hotels across the Americas by year-end 2009.
One of five Staybridge Suites hotels open in the greater Chicago area, the Staybridge Suites Oakbrook Terrace expects this amenity will contribute to the hotel’s community-like environment, according to the company.
“Nearly all of our guests stay with us for business, and ‘wireless anywhere’ will allow them to work or access the Internet in other areas of the hotel without being confined to their suite,” said Destini Williams-Best, general manager, Staybridge Suites Chicago-Oakbrook Terrace.
The amenities at Staybridge include three suite types with fully equipped kitchens, a 24-hour convenience store, a complimentary 24-hour business center with high-speed Internet access, complimentary guest laundry room, complimentary daily deluxe breakfast buffet and evening Sundowner receptions three days a week.
