Stella Resorts make new appointment
Stella Resorts Group has announced that it has appointed John Simmonds to the role of General Manager of Development.
Mr Simmonds will be responsible for identifying and advancing new business opportunities for Stella Resorts Group in commerce, property and investment.
He has held several senior management roles in the hospitality industry including Principal of Elysium Hospitality and General Manager of Development Australia/New Zealand for Accor Asia Pacific.
Stella Resorts is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MFS Limited, an Australian diversified investment company in the funds management sector.
Stella Resorts owns, leases, manages and markets a rapidly expanding portfolio of branded and independent hotels, apartments and retreats in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Simmonds said new opportunities in the Asia Pacific region presented Stella Resorts Group with the prospect to extend into overseas markets.
Stella Resorts also recently snared industry leader and personality Keith Stanley, long time senior management at Flight Centre to head up its marketing and sales operations.
Stella offers the full spectrum of accommodation from budget-friendly escapes to luxury indulgence under brands including Bale, Peppers, Mantra, Pacific International and BreakFree. MFS Tourism also operates the Hotham and Falls Creek ski resorts.
