Stena in £350,000 Ireland push

Stena Line has launched a £350,000 marketing push to boost car traffic and tourism to Ireland.

The month-long campaign includes TV, press and outdoor advertising in key areas of England, Wales and Scotland.

It is being backed by a range of low summer fares starting at £149 for a five-day return for a car and two adults with children costing just £1 extra each way.

Stena’s fast ferry crossings from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire, Stranraer to Belfast and Fishguard to Rosslare take 99, 105 and 110 minutes respectively.

Head of sales Wendy Hartley said: “Visitors who take their cars to Ireland generally stay for longer periods, spend more money and explore different parts of the country; not just the main cities. Therefore this campaign should be of benefit to the hospitality industry throughout Ireland”.
