Stena to bolster agent knowledge
Stena Line is adding an online events guide for Holland and Germany in a move to provide greater information of the product to agents.
The ferry operator said the guide will enable agents to increase their knowledge of both countries and, in turn, enhance their service levels to customers.
Located in the Harwich section of its website, www.stenaline.co.uk, the guide – which is produced in partnership with digital travel publisher WhatsOnWhen – will be continually updated and include details of family events and festivals in addition to regular information on sightseeing trips, attractions and ferry routes.
Stena Line UK online marketing executive Anna Holmgren said the company recognised it was impossible for agents to keep abreast of all activities in Holland and Germany.
“Our repeat customers on the ferry crossing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland in a big proportion of our business,” she said. “We predict this exciting project will help agents build repeat business and earn commission from Stena as they’ll essentially be offering live and very relevant information to the customer.”
In a further move, Stena has licensed hundreds of keyword-rich travel articles on events and sightseeing to ensure greater search engine optimisation.
