Studio Ghibli opens in Japan
Studio Ghibli, arguably Asia ‘most eagerly awaited theme park, has officially opened in Japan.
The site at Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park is dedicated to the studio’s famed animated films including ‘My Neighbor Totoro,’ ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ and ‘Spirited Away’.
Three of five themed areas are now open.
Mononoke Village and the Valley of Witches will open in 2023.
The park features Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, which is the main park area, a cinema, kid’s playrooms, shops and cafes.
